High Torque Group's 2019 Macmillan Coffee Morning

On 19th September 2019, Exmel Solutions, under High Torque Group, held our annual coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Coffee Morning

For our 2018 fundraiser we had offered a cake delivery service in the local area for the first time, and we were excited to once again offer this service for this years’ event. Businesses based in and around Coatbridge, Bellshill and Airdrie were given the opportunity to pre-order a box of cakes for delivery on the same day as our coffee morning. Through this method, we received 35 individual pre-orders which saw us raise a significant amount of money before our event had even began.

Our coffee morning was held at our base in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire and saw a variety of cakes and sweet treats on sale. A big draw was our breakfast menu, with bacon, lorne sausage and tattie scones being wildly popular, drawing in people from all over the local estates and beyond.

The atmosphere on the day was brilliant. Exmel staff members donated their time and were rushed off their feet the whole day. Without question, this is certainly the busiest event we’ve held for a number of years, if not the busiest. However, the enthusiasm and generosity of all of our visitors made the whole day worth it.

Thanks to breakfast and cake sales on the day, pre-orders of cake deliveries and a number of generous donations, Exmel and High Torque Group are pleased to announce that we have raised £2,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

We want to express our gratitude to everyone who participated in making the day the success it was, and we hope that Macmillan Cancer Support will be able to put the funds raised to good use.
